知り合いの話。
知り合いには知能障害の叔父さんがいて、知り合いが物心付いた頃から既にちょっとおかしい人だったらしい
そんな人だから、結婚も出来ず、60を過ぎても一人暮らしをしてた
で、ある日耳から変な液が出てきたってんで兄弟が病院に連れてったんだと
そしたら頭蓋ん中イッパイに膿が溜まってて、それが脳を圧迫してた
医者は親族にこう尋ねた
「昔、頭の手術をしたことありませんか？」
そういえば、彼が３歳だった頃に風呂で母親が頭を洗っていて水が耳に入り、耳が腫れたことがある。
その時手術をしたと思うが、それがどうしたのか
「恐らくその時に付いた傷が原因ですねこの膿は・・・今まで知能障害と思われていたのも、脳についた傷と膿がもたらしたものでしょう。」
先天性のものだと思っていたものが実は医療ミス
しかも３歳の頃の傷で、約60年分の人生を台無しにされてしまった
親族にしたらものすごいショックだったと言う
しかも膿の摘出手術を終えないと助からなかったが、既に本人にその体力がない状態
数日して亡くなったという
洒落にならん話だった
